PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower an environmental load and simultaneously to reduce a waste liquid treatment cost by providing a small-sized and inexpensive apparatus which solidifies starch paste waste liquid without increasing the weight of its wastes by utilizing the characteristics of the starch paste waste liquid, while in the conventional case, the starch paste waste liquid is subjected to dewatering treatment after the solid content thereof is separated by a general flocculation precipitation or pressure flotation method and the solid wastes are increased by additives, such as flocculants and in addition a large-scale apparatus is needed. SOLUTION: The starch paste waste liquid treatment apparatus is equipped with a separation tank (1) which internally has a turbidity sensor (2) for detecting the separation state of a solid and liquid and a turbidity sensor (3) for detecting passage of precipitate and is disposed to accept the starch paste waste liquid and to separate the precipitate (10) and supernatant liquor (9), a treatment tank (4) which is made removable for the purpose of gelatinize the precipitate by heating the precipitate with a heater (5) after accepting the same, and further discarding the solid (11) after solidification and a panel (8) for automatically controlling them.
