The rapid connection plug or socket connector enables at least one line of an especially multi-strand cable to be connected to a contact partner (1) of the plug or socket, whereby the contact partner has a region in the form of clamping jaws for accommodating the stripped end of the line. The clamping jaws are released by a movable clamp sleeve (7) to receive the cable end and compressed to fix the cable end.
