The wall termination strip (2) for building surfaces laid with panel materials has an edge profile (20) which is connected to an edge profile (18) on the circumference of the floor covering (10) laid with a gap between it and the wall. The wall termination strip has an L-shaped cross section with a flange (24) which seats on the floor outside the floor covering, and a flange (26) at right angles to the first flange and projecting onto the wall. The edge profiles form a tongue-in-groove connection. An independent claim is included for a procedure for the laying of a wall termination strip.
