<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a muffler capable of maintaining stable muffling performance by eliminating moisture mixed in exhaust gas as much as possible and of effectively preventing water splash from an exhaust pipe. <P>SOLUTION: This muffler 1A is put in exhaust pipes 7, 8 discharging exhaust gas of a fuel cell. An inside of the muffler 1A is divided into a first to a fourth expansion chamber 6a-6d.
