<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forged credit card inspection system by which the authenticity of a credit card is exactly determined at an affiliated store side in using the credit card. <P>SOLUTION: In purchasing a commodity with the credit card, the credit card is slid to a designated location for the credit card of a sensor installed in an affiliated store terminals 101a-101c for settlement of accounts. Authentication information recorded in the designated location is transmitted through a wired or wireless dedicated line or public communication network 104 to an authentication server 102 allows the authentication server 102 to analyze the information for authentication. The analysis result is transmitted through the wired or wireless dedicated line or public communication network 104 to the affiliated store terminals 101a-101c for settlement of the account with the credit card.
