<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample water analyzing unit and a sample water analyzing device which can make an analysis using a detector even if collected sample water contains a large amount of SS in water quality analysis. <P>SOLUTION: The sample water analyzing device 1 comprises a detector 2 having a detecting part 2a and a sample water analyzing unit 3. The sample water analyzing unit 3 comprises a cell 7 having a substantially-cylindrical side wall 7a, and the detector 2 is attached to the upper part of the cell 7. The cell 7 has an introducing port 4 for sample water W, an overflow port 5 and a discharge port 6.
