GLASSWARE WITH THERMALLY SPRAYED FILM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide glassware which has a thermally sprayed film and which has improved appearance and can shorten the time for production while preventing degradation in the strength of the glassware, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.

SOLUTION: Glassware 1 having the thermally sprayed film is provided with a vessel 3 made of glass which is formed to have a smooth rear surface of a bottom 2 and a coating layer 4 made of a nonmagnetic metal which is formed by a plasma thermal spraying method on the rear surface. Further, a mirror surface section 5 is provided at the boundary between the coating layer 4 and the rear surface. The glassware 1 is used without being subjected to surface roughening at its rear surface, and hence the boundary is formed as the mirror surface when thermal spraying is performed. Since the glassware has translucency, the mirror surface section 5 can be observed from above the bottom 2 of the glassware 1 through the bottom 2.
