<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical component whose primary coated optical fiber is hard to break by bending at an opening end of a housing storing an optical component main body with the primary coated optical fiber and which can be made small. <P>SOLUTION: The optical component comprises the optical component main body 5 having the primary coated optical fiber 3 for input and output and the housing which houses the optical component main body 5; and the primary coated optical fiber 3 is led out of the housing and the curvature radius of a lead-out part of the optical fiber 3 is≥1 mm. The primary coated optical fiber 3 is led out of the housing from the opening end 12b of a 2nd housing 12 and an internal wall surface 12d of the opening end 12b is a curved surface having a≥1 mm radius of curvature. The housing comprises the 1st housing 11 which houses the optical component main body 5 and the 2nd housing 12 which has a hole part 12a for leading the primary coated optical fiber 3 out of the housing, and the internal wall surface 12d of the opening end 12b of the 2nd housing 12 is the curved surface with a≥1 mm radius of curvature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
