PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method of a transfer optical surface to create and realize by cutting work conventionally never devised, a processing machine, a die for optical element molding formed with it and a diamond tool. SOLUTION: Though it is an act against a common sense to create a transfer optical surface by cutting a material with very high hardness of more than HRA 80 in Rockwell hardness or more than Hv 1000 in Vickers hardness in accordance with conventional experiences and knowledge of those who are engaged in this field of industry, there exists no literature to affirm it, either, as far as this inventor, et al confirm. This inventor finds it possible to create the transfer optical surface from the material of such high hardness by carrying out cutting work by using, for example, a diamond tool in consequence of studying all the processing methods without being seized with the conventional common sense as he faces a difficult subject of how to precisely form the transfer optical surface of a die for optical element molding by using the material having the very high hardness of more than HRA 80 in Rockwell hardness or of more than Hv 1000 in Vickers hardness.
