PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable receiver capable of enabling a user to recognize receptible channels without disturbing viewing operations. SOLUTION: A CPU discriminates channels which a broadcast reception section can receive according to broadcast reception programs and applies lighting control to key buttons 6 corresponding to the receptible channels. Since the user can recognize the receptible channels at a glance by referencing the lighting state of the key buttons 6, the mobile receiver enables the user to simply recognize the receptible channels without disturbing the viewing operations of the user.
