DRAIN VALVE PROVIDED WITH CLUTCH CHANGEOVER FUNCTION, AND WASHING MACHINE HAVING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain valve provided with a clutch changeover function of low cost and high performance in which similar parts need not be doubly used. SOLUTION: A drain valve drive unit provided with a clutch changeover function comprises a valve element for a drain valve to open/close a drain passage, and a cam body rotated by a drive motor to transmit opening/closing operation force to the valve element, where rotation of the cam body also makes clutch changeover operation. A cam shaft part is provided to be eccentric from a rotation axis of the cam body. The cam shaft part is connected to the valve element. Irregularities where a lever to operate a clutch is slidably applied are provided in the same surface as where the cam shaft part is provided, and on the outer circumferential side of the cam shaft part.
