PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To demodulate the phase modulated wobble signals more surely even when external noise is large. SOLUTION: When an integer M is defined as the number of wobble waves, address information is constituted with 1-bit M wobble as a basic unit, and the address information is NRZ-recorded. When an integer N is defined as the number of wobble waves and the M is 2N (e.g. M=12, N=6), a synchronizing signal to be used for detecting synchronization of the address information is constituted with 1-bit N wobble as a basic unit. The synchronizing signal (6 wobbles per 1 bit) constituted in this way is recorded on the head side of the address information (12 wobbles per 1 bit). COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
