PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for ensuring system safety effective for ensuring safety of a traveling supporting system. SOLUTION: This system supporting safe traveling of the vehicle notifies the vehicle or the driver that information on a road cannot be offered from the conditions of the system to urge the driver to drive carefully by providing a vehicle or a driver with information possessed by a system on a road side when a sensor 2 does not detect a dangerous condition even though the road side is dangerous, when system operation is limited, and when a part of the system is out of order etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
