PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back flow prevention device for an injection molding machine, which prevents a molten resin from flowing backward at a time of injection operation, and increases the flow amount of the molten resin fed to the front of a screw chip for measurement. SOLUTION: The screw chip 2 has a small diameter shaft 22 at the back surface side, and is fixed to the front end face of an injection screw 1 via the small diameter shaft 22. A first flow channel 21 wherein a molten resin flows is formed on the outer peripheral face of the screw chip 2. A check ring 3, which can move along the small diameter shaft 22, is attached to the outer periphery of the small diameter shaft 22. A second flow channel 32 is formed between the inner peripheral face of the check ring 3 and the outer peripheral face of the small diameter shaft 22. A valve seat 11 is provided to the front end face of the injection screw 1. A third flow channel 33 having a cutout shape running from the outer peripheral face to the inner peripheral face is formed at the front end side of the check ring 3, and is connected to the first flow channel 21.
