The toothbrush head comprises a face from which projects an elastomer material elongated projection (10) having a end remote from the head in the form of an integral resiliently elastomeric material flexible wiper blade (13). The blade has a width direction perpendicular to the length direction of the projection, extending in its width across at least fifty percent of the cross-section of the projection, and a thickness dimension in a thickness direction perpendicular to is direction perpendicular to its width that is fifty percent or less of its width dimension. An independent claim is also included for a toothbrush.
