The stopper is composed of a convenience plug (3) having sealing means (4) through which the product in the bottle can be removed on demand. The stopper also has a skirt (8) between the plug and the bottle (2). The plug has first fixings (9) which engage directly with corresponding fixings (10) on the bottle neck (2a). Second fixings (11) engage corresponding fixings (12) on the skirt prior to assembly.
