Facade element and method for producing the same

The facade element (1) for an exterior wall facade has panels (3) of heat insulating material fastened to the concrete wall element (2). The panels on the side facing the wall element have at least one housing (5) in which engages an integrally constructed section (4) of the wall element for the fixing of the panel on the wall element. The housing is constructed as a slot which in the base region has a larger cross sectional width than in the transition region between the panel and the wall element, whereby the walls of the slot converge towards the wall element in wedge form. An independent claim is included for a procedure for the manufacture of a facade element in which concrete is cast into slots formed in extruded panels of heat insulating material for the fixing of the panel on a simultaneously constructed concrete wall element.
