<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a driving circuit on the same base by forming an electron emitting region by a dispersed system of an electron emitting material and a binder material to enable X-Y address drive. SOLUTION: An electron emitting region 7 of an array 5 to emit an electron by extracting it by an extraction electrode 3 formed on a gate insulating layer 4 is formed by a dispersed system of an electron emitting material and a binder material. This dispersed system contains a surfactant and molecules of a conductive material, and the binder material is a resin hardened by an ultraviolet ray, a resin hardened by an electron beam, or a thermo-hardening resin. The electron emitting region 7 and the gate insulating layer 4 are embedded in a supporting base 1, and a cathode wire 2 to be connected to the electron array 5 is provided. Thereby, the electron source array is dividable into any number of blocks, and a driving circuit formed from CMOS, a logical circuit and a protective circuit can be provided.</p> |
