摘要 PURPOSE: A device and method for detecting nucleic acid hybridization using ferrocene-bound intercalators are provided, thereby reducing the detection time, increasing the accuracy of detection, requiring no fluorescence labeling and expensive equipment, so that the process can be simplified and the detection costs can be reduced. CONSTITUTION: The device for detecting nucleic acid hybridization using ferrocene-bound intercalators comprises the parts of: a nucleic acid chip containing a nucleic acid probe fixed on a substrate, a target nucleic acid hybridized with the nucleic acid probe and ferrocene-bound intercalators which selectively bind with the hybridized double strand nucleic acid; an electrochemical device containing a working electrode(9), a reference electrode(10) and a counter electrode(8); potentiostat(15) supplying the voltage to the electrochemical device; and a computer(16) which controls and detects results of cyclic voltammogram, wherein the intercalator is selected from DAPI(4', 6'-diamidino-2-phenylindole), nogalamycin, hoechst 33258, distamycin A, EtBr, doxorubicin and daunorubicin.
