PURPOSE: A device for playing an optical disk is provided to move a playing position to an optional point within a corresponding track based on a still image, so that a user can play a disk when the still image is converted, thereby magnifying user convenience. CONSTITUTION: The first storage unit(302) stores a predetermined audio stream from an audio optical disk(300). The second storage unit(303) stores still image information relative to the audio stream. When the audio stream stored in the first storage unit(302) is played, a controller(304) outputs a still image stored in the second storage unit(303) while the audio stream is played. If target still image index information is received from a user to output other still image, the controller(304) compares the target still image index information with the number of maximum still image indexes, and outputs a storage control signal for controlling such that the storage units(302,303) can store the target still image information and the corresponding audio stream in the target still image information.
