In a packet radio network (1) comprising a radio access network (5) and a core network CN (2) via which a plurality of mobile nodes (12) may communicate over a wireless link with an external packet data network (8), a method of administering at least one multicast group, subscribers of which are from said plurality of mobile nodes (12), which method comprises the steps of: <SL> <LI>(1) maintaining a first database of subscribers of each multicast group at a first node (3) in said packet radio network, said database enabling identification of the or each second node (4), or any other network node on the packet radio network, responsible for the subscribers of each multicast group; <LI>(2) providing a mapping between subscribers of each multicast group and a number of multicast logical links between the first node (3) and the or each second node (4); </SL> ```wherein, where there is more than one subscriber of a multicast group served by a second node (4), the first database maps those subscribers to a number of multicast logical links (11) that less than the number of those subscribers. |
