Mechanism for display of lunar phase

The mechanism has an upper disk, the moon display disk (1), and a concentric lower disk, the moon disk (2), whereby one of these disks is attached to the other so as to be rotatable relative to it. The moon display disk has two windows (1a,1b) for taking into account the different appearance of the phases of the moon in the northern and southern hemispheres of the earth in the display. An independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a clock with an inventive mechanism for displaying phases of the moon.
