Facade structure and retaining element for use in such a structure

The facade construction (1) is formed from several panel-form facade elements (20), and especially glass elements, mounted in a support construction. The support construction has load absorbing support elements (11) extending vertically along the facade, and mounting elements (10a,10b) connected to the support elements. The facade elements are supported in the mounting elements and the mounting elements are pivotably connected to the support elements. An independent claim is included for a mounting element for use in a facade construction with a pivot bearing section for the holding and pivotable support of a free end of a rod-form or cable-form support element, and a holding section for the holding of a facade element.
