Electrical Connector

The electrical plug connector has a housing with at least one socket section for accommodating a plug contact and two flexible arms for attaching the housing to a holder. The flexible arms enable tilting and displacement of the housing in all three spatial directions relative to the holder. Each arm has an outer section rotatably attached to the holder so that the outer section is pivoting about a pivot axis parallel to a plugging direction. The electrical plug connector (10) has a housing with at least one socket section (14) for accommodating a plug contact and two flexible arms (50) for attaching the housing to a holder (60), whereby the flexible arms enable tilting and displacement of the housing in all three spatial directions relative to the holder. Each arm has an outer section rotatably attached to the holder so that the outer section is pivoting about a pivot axis parallel to a plugging direction. An independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a method of electrically connecting a first electrical lead to a second electrical lead.
