PURPOSE: A hopper for collecting sludge in wastewater treating line of painting plant is provided which is installed at one side of wastewater treatment line to easily perform treatment operation of paint particles by collecting the paint particles in the sludge state when floating paint particles not adhered to an object to be painted in the slurry state. CONSTITUTION: The hopper(5) for collecting sludge in wastewater treating line of painting plant is characterized in that the hopper is consisted of a plate member having a certain thickness, a ring part(11) is formed at both end parts of the hopper so that the ring part is hung on both wall surfaces(9) of circulation waterway(7) of wastewater treatment line, a collection part(13) is formed in the central part of the hopper to collect sludge floated on circulation water, and the hopper is bent to form a guide part for guiding the sludge floated on the circulation water to the collection part by connecting the ring part and collection part, wherein the plate member is formed of a light plastic material capable of being floated on the circulation water.
