A frame e.g. furniture frame or frame to support a sign, is fabricated from tubes cut to length and joined at right angles to each other as required. Each join is formed of a tube (10) with a circular aperture (11) cut at right angles to the pipe longitudinal axis (A), and exposing the pipe inner sidewalls at an interface (12) between the two pipes.
