AUTOMATIC IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD USING PSEUDO-SATELLITE

PURPOSE: An automatic identification system and a method using a pseudo-satellite are provided to implement the automatic identification function under the bad electromagnetic condition such as a small intensity of the global positioning system(GPS) signal. CONSTITUTION: An automatic identification system using a pseudo-satellite are provided to at least one pseudo-satellite and at least one automatic identification system(AIS). The pseudo-satellite is located at a specific position of the ground around the harbor for generating an identification code, a navigation message including the position of pseudo-satellite and a pseudo-satellite signal including the time information to transmit them. The AIS is installed on the ship for calculating the dynamic information including the position and speed by using GNSS satellite signal and at least one pseudo-satellite signals from the pseudo-satellite. And, the AIS transmits the AIS signals including the calculated navigation information through the TDMA method and receives the AIS signals from the other object to output.
