PURPOSE: A data receiving method of a mobile terminal is provided to reduce power consumption by changing a mobile terminal into a sleep state when data is not transmitted and to receive data by immediately releasing the terminal from the sleep state when data transmission is started. CONSTITUTION: When a central processor detects that IrDA is driven or an external data cable is connected(S101), it enters into a non-sleep state(S102) and continuously checks a flow of input/output data(S103). If there is no data flow for a certain time, the central processor enters into a sleep state(S104), and comes in an interrupt standby state by enabling an interrupt input port(S105). When data is received through a data receiving end, an interrupt is generated(S106) and the central processor enters into the non-sleep state to disable the interrupt port(S107). If the first data is damaged by the interrupt(S108), the central processor compensates the damaged data and performs corresponding data processing(S109,S110). |
