FIELD: metallurgy, namely processes for making rolled merchant bars in combination type aggregate for casting and rolling. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of casting metal to ingot with cross section area consisting 10 -300 area values of cross section of ready rolled piece; cutting prepared ingot by measured length (3 - 6 m) billets; performing rough rolling in mill containing two reversing rolling stands (each stand has three roll grooved passes) at total elongation during first two-four passes equal 7 - 35 at speed 1 - 5 m/s with elongation factor in last pass 2 - 4; performing final rolling in mill having at least six continuous rolling stands with total elongation equal to 3 - 10; rolling small bars at separating rolled piece in last stands of finish stand group by two - three roll passes. Invention provides lowered number of emergency conditions, simplified overcoming of their results and easy readjustment of rolling equipment for manufacture of other type bars. ^ EFFECT: increased rolling rate and elongation factor, lowered operation costs, enhanced efficiency and operational reliability. ^ 2 cl, 1 ex |
