Disclosed is a plate-type cladding element (10), particularly for walls, ceilings, or floors of buildings, comprising an electrically conducting surface (12) and another electrically conducting layer (13) which is located at a distance therefrom and is separated therefrom by means of an insulating layer. The electrically conducting areas (12, 13) of the cladding element (10), which are formed by the electrically conducting surface and the electrically conducting layer, can be connected to a power source (18) and are embodied as planar conductors that are to be polarized differently in order to be connected to electric consumers (20) in the low protection potential range, said electric consumers (20) being fixed to the inventive cladding element (10) by plugging in at least one connecting element (15) on one side so as to contact the conducting areas (12, 13). |
