FIELD: measuring technique and navigation measurements. ^ SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with a positioner and is pertinent to measuring technique and may be used for navigation measurements. The technical result: improved accuracy and stability of finding and authentication of East -West direction. The device contains a symmetrical solid body with an air cavity and a hollow tube of small cross-section inserted inside the body and rigidly fixed in its bottom. The solid body is suspended in a liquid located in a closed vessel with an air cavity above the surface of the liquid. The symmetrical solid body is embraced by a ring with a positive allowance. The ring is fixed at the interface of two mediums - the air and the liquid. The ring and the solid body are made out of the unwettable material. At the expense of a controlled live pressure in the air cavity of the closed vessel, the liquid has possibility to move in the tube, not coming inside the symmetrical solid body. The solid body has a possibility to swing in the plane passing through the vertical of a place and coinciding with the East- West direction. ^ EFFECT: the invention allows to improved accuracy and stability of finding and authentication of East -West direction. ^ 1 dwg
