FIELD: organic chemistry, biochemistry, chemical technology, pharmacy. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to new derivatives of lipoic acid of the formula (Ia): wherein A means radicals -(CH2)m-CO-NR3-(CH2)n- or -(CH2)m-; R3 means hydrogen atom or radical (C1-C6)-alkyl; X means radical of the formula: wherein T in common with Y means radical -(CH2)I-; R5 means alkyl radical, alkoxy-group, dialkylamino-group, 5-membered heterocycle. Compounds elicit inhibitory effect with respect to activity of NO-synthases producing nitrogen monoxide NO, and/or they are agents allowing regeneration of antioxidants.
