658,563. Game apparatus. JACKSON, L. S. April 4, 1949, No. 9178. [Class 132 (ii)] Race game apparatus comprises a plurality of guideways or alleys 2 separated by guides 21 and a number of wheellike cages 3 made of two discs 13 joined by rungs 14, one or both of the discs having a hole through which an animal, e.g. a mouse, can be inserted, the mouse, by treading the rungs 14, propelling the cage. The cages may be differently numbered or coloured and transparent. At the start, each cage is put in a trap 8, the exits of which are closed by a barrier 9 and each of which has a ramp in the floor. This ramp, on release of the barrier, sets the cages moving and then the mouse takes up the running. At the winning post 7, a cage urges a swinging contact 20 against a contact 17 to light an indicator behind a screen 18. An indicator unit is provided for each track. A spring-released barrier 9 may be provided.
