SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REAL-TIME MULTI-LAYER STEREO IMAGE MATCHING BY USING SYSTOLIC ARRAY

PURPOSE: A system and a method for real-time multi-layer stereo image matching by using a systolic array are provided to measure three-dimensional distance information and a shape information by simply fixing cameras without a precise adjustment unit. CONSTITUTION: A system for real-time multi-layer stereo image matching by using a systolic array searches a corresponding point between pixel data of one image and pixel data of another image. The system for real-time multi-layer stereo image matching by using a systolic array includes left and right image gathering units(1000,2000), and an image processing part(3000), and a multi-layer image matching part(4000). The left and right image gathering units(1000,2000) obtain image in both a right direction and a left direction. The image processing part temporarily stores digital image signals or converts analog image signals into digital image signals.
