PRINTING APPARATUS INCLUDING LABEL WRITER CONNECTED TO HOST COMPUTER THROUGH USB CONNECTOR AND CABLE

PURPOSE: A printing apparatus is provided to easily perform demo printing work without connecting the printing apparatus to a host computer. CONSTITUTION: A label writer(1) is connected to a host computer(30) through a cable(42) and a USB connector(41). The label writer(1) includes a body case(2), a cover(21) which is opened/closed when attaching/detaching a tape cartridge to the body case(2), and a pocket for mounting the tape cartridge. A tape discharge port is formed in order to discharge tapes released from the tape cartridge. A tape cutter is provided to cut the tape after printing work for the tape has been completed. An interface is provided to receive printing data and control data from a host compute. A head unit including a printing head is installed in the pocket.
