摘要 PURPOSE: An autonomous underwater vehicle and operating method thereof is provided which is navigated in the sea with a control device and a power source for self-movement and without cables for remote control and power transmission. CONSTITUTION: An autonomous underwater vehicle comprises a propeller part(300) installed at a rear part of a ship to propel the ship and control the direction of the ship; a control part(400) controlling various equipments and sensors to automatically control the navigation and execute sea probes; an aquatic optical instrument composed of a TV camera(530) and a still camera(430); a measuring instrument composed of a scan sonar(440), a temperature and conductivity sensor(450), and a speed log(540); an acoustic positioning system transceiver(460) tracking the position of the ship in real time.
