PURPOSE: An inverter protection device of a microwave oven is provided to prevent the damages on an inverter module caused by over voltages. CONSTITUTION: An inverter protection device of a microwave oven comprises a power input(10) for receiving AC power and outputting it, an input voltage sensor(40) for sensing an input voltage level of the power input, an inverter module(30), and a micom(50). The inverter module converts the AC power to DC power and outputs a PWM signal for driving magnetrons in order to supply the DC voltage to the magnetrons according to the PWM signal. The micom receives the voltage level detected at the power input and converts it as a recognizable signal type. The micom controls the inverter module by outputting a corresponding control signal.
