PURPOSE: A heating and cooling system for a vehicle is provided to control abnormal high pressure of the system simply and effectively and to improve the durability of each component. CONSTITUTION: A heating and cooling system for a vehicle comprises a compressor(10) compressing a refrigerant; a condenser(20) condensing the refrigerant compressed by the compressor; at least one expansion valves(52,54) expanding the refrigerant; an evaporator(30) heat-exchanging the incoming refrigerant with air; a first refrigerant circulation circuit(110) making the refrigerant, discharged from the compressor, sucked into the compressor through the expansion valves and the evaporator; and a control part(100) making the refrigerant, passing through the evaporator of the first refrigerant circulation circuit, diverge and flow into the condenser before the refrigerant is sucked into the compressor, if the discharge pressure of the refrigerant discharged from the compressor is more than predetermined pressure.
