MOBILE TERMINAL HAVING POWER-SAVING FUNCTION AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A mobile terminal having a power-saving function and its control method are provided to restrain power consumption by automatically converting a mobile terminal to a power-saving mode if it is not used for a certain time. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(110) receives user event information. A communication module(150) communicates with an external device and receives external event information. When an external event is received in a power-saving mode, a controller(160) converts the power-saving mode to an active mode, and if user event information is not inputted within a certain time after the external event is terminated in the active mode, the controller(160) converts the active mode to the power-saving mode.
