PURPOSE: A control method of an anion generator for a refrigerator is provided to maintain the optimum condition by adjusting the output data of the anion generator according to the internal humidity data of the refrigerator and the defrosting operation state. CONSTITUTION: A control method of an anion generator for a refrigerator comprises steps of driving the refrigerator(S200); selectively controlling the output of an output variable part according to humidity data if humidity data measured by a humidity sensor is applied to a control part(S202); determining whether the humidity data is less than 40 percent(S204); determining whether the humidity data is less than 50 percent(S208); determining whether the humidity data is less than 60 percent(S212); determining whether the humidity data is less than 70 percent(S216); setting up the output of the output variable part into 60 percent and determining whether the refrigerator begins defrosting operation(S220,S222); setting up the output of the output variable part into 100 percent(S224); and determining whether the defrosting operation is finished and returning to the step of operating the refrigerator(S226).
