PURPOSE: A laser module having a light collection optical system is provided to enhance the reliability by preventing the inside of the laser module due to particles adhered on a coating layer of the optical fiber. CONSTITUTION: A laser module includes a light collection optical system(12), an optical fiber(13), a fixing unit, a first package, and an incident section protection unit. The fixing unit fixes a semiconductor laser element(LD), the light collection optical system, and the optical fiber to a relative position coupled to an incident section of the optical fiber. The first package(P1) is used for sealing up the semiconductor laser element. The incident section protection unit is used for protecting the incident section of the optical fiber from the atmosphere.
