PURPOSE: A field emission display is provided to lengthen the life span of an emitter by lowering current load applied to the emitter and to uniform a lighting property between pixels. CONSTITUTION: A field emission display comprises a first substrate(2) and a second substrate(4) opposite to each other; a gate electrode(6) formed on the first substrate with a stripe pattern; an insulating layer(8) covering the gate electrode and formed on the first substrate; a cathode electrode(10) formed on the insulating layer with a stripe pattern; an emitter(12) connected electrically to the cathode electrode; a facing electrode(14) formed between the cathode electrodes with a predetermined space; a transparent anode electrode(18) formed on the second substrate; and a phosphor film(20) formed on the anode electrode with a predetermined shape.
