TWO-STAGE DAMPER AND DRUM-TYPE WASHING MACHINE

PURPOSE: A two-stage damper and a drum-type washing machine with the damper are provided to repress the transmission of vibration and reduce noise generated by the vibration transmission by acting friction force over predetermined displacement. CONSTITUTION: A two-stage damper(40) is composed of first and second bodies(41,45) overlapped at the predetermined length along the longitudinal direction and arranged to perform a relative motion along the longitudinal direction; a friction surface(42) formed on an overlapped section of the first and second bodies; a friction member(51) disposed on the overlapped section of the first and second bodies to friction-contact with the friction surface; and a friction member operation unit(55) for preventing the relative motion of the friction surface and the friction member below a first displacement and frictionizing and relatively moving the friction surface and the friction member over the first displacement when one of the first and second bodies moves.
