PURPOSE: A red light emitting organic compound and an organic light emitting device containing the compound are provided, to improve heat resistance and stability and to allow emitting color to be controlled easily. CONSTITUTION: The red light emitting organic compound is represented by the formula 1, wherein X is C, O, S, SO2 or N; R1 to R3 are identical or different one another and are H, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group of C1-C20, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group of C1-C5, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl or heteroaryl group of C4-C24, a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group of C4-C6, or a fused cyclic group of C4-C24; R4 and R5 are independently the same as defined in R1 or none, and R4 and R5 can form a heterocyclic group in case of none; R6 is the same as defined in R1 or a substituted or unsubstituted amine group; and n is 1, 2 or 3. |
