PURPOSE: A remote controller for controlling an electronic display board is provided to input image data as well as characters and transmit it to an electronic display board. CONSTITUTION: A key input unit(110) includes a plurality of key buttons and generates a certain key signal based on user's manipulation. A font storing unit(140) stores a plurality of character fonts corresponding to each key button and image data. A display unit(160) displays characters and images. A driving unit(150) receives a data stream consisting of the character fonts and image data and drives the display unit(160). A wireless transmitter(170) transmits a radio signal. A microcomputer(130) pages a character font and image data corresponding to a key signal generated from the key input unit(110), from the font storing unit(140), generates a certain data stream and provides it to the driving unit(150), and then, when a key signal for transmitting the data stream displayed on the display unit(160) is inputted, the microcomputer(130) converts the data stream into graphic data and provides it to the wireless transmitter(170).
