PURPOSE: An operation microscope apparatus including an operation microscope supported movably to a pillar is provided to move the operation microscope to a retreat position or a position of a front lens without requiring large drive energy. CONSTITUTION: An operation microscope apparatus a support base(2), a pillar(3), a support arm, a plurality of electrically-operated upward-and-downward-motion devices(17,24), an operation microscope(25), and a control unit. The pillar is supported by the support base. A base end part of the support arm is held to the pillar so as to be rotated upward and downward. The operation microscope is supported to a tip part of the support arm through the electrically-operated upward-and-downward-motion devices. The control unit is used for controlling the electrically-operated upward-and-downward-motion devices. The electrically-operated upward-and-downward-motion devices are connected serially to each other.
