PURPOSE: A sanitary napkin containing a functional composition is provided to prevent or reduce an offensive smell generated due to a contact between air and menstrual blood during a menstrual period using characteristic incense emanating from various herbs. CONSTITUTION: The sanitary napkin(40) comprises: an outer layer(10) directly contacting the vagina; an absorbing member(20) having a menstrual blood absorbing material(25) coated thereon, the menstrual blood absorbing material(25) comprising a polymer absorbing body and a herbal composition containing lavender, mixed in an equal amount; and a waterproof outer layer(30) for preventing the menstrual blood absorbed into the absorbing member(20) from leaking to an exterior of the napkin(40).
