PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus including an imaging element in a simple configuration capable of suppressing the effect of distortion. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with: a lens; and the imaging element having a plurality of light receiving elements each receiving light from an object via the lens and converting the light into an electric signal, and a plurality of the light receiving elements are arranged to have a shape in response to a distortion characteristic of the lens.
