PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for connecting a photoelectric conversion element in which before the photoelectric conversion element is regularly connected or fixed, the photoelectric conversion element can be moved to simply, accurately adjust the position for a specific position, and to provide an imaging device. SOLUTION: This imaging device comprises optical elements 3, 4 for collecting light, a photoelectric conversion element 30 for photoelectrically converting the light collected by the optical elements 3, 4, and a connection substrate 40 connected to the photoelectric conversion element 30. An electrode 32 of the photoelectric conversion element 30 is connected or fixed to an electrode 42 of the connection substrate 40 by a conductive adhesive 50. With the arrangement, when the photoelectric conversion element 30 is adjusted for optimum positioning, in a condition in which the photoelectric conversion element 30 is temporarily connected or fixed by the conductive adhesive 50, it can be shifted on the connection substrate 40.
