PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the intensities of incident lights of four or more different wavelengths by one-time exposure. SOLUTION: In a plurality of pixels of an imaging sensor equipped in a digital camera, six photo diodes PDa-PDf are formed which are different in depth from a light receiving face 30. Since an absorption coefficient of silicon with respect to light has wavelength-dependent properties, incident light having a relatively short wavelength is absorbed at a relatively shallow position while incident light having a relatively long wavelength is absorbed at a relatively deep position, resulting in making the six photo diodes PD1-PDf perform photoelectric transfer of incident lights of different wavelengths, respectively. Consequently, the intensities of incident lights of six different wavelengths can be obtained by one-time exposure. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
